PDF will be accepted for foil print blocks, but they must be supplied to size (100%) and print area must be solid black (no colour or tones).
Key line & Film Separations
Abbey will supply you with a dieline drawing, this shows the outside of the product PRINT SIDE UP.
For spot colour and 4 colour process screen printing (CMYK), each colour must be separated and identified.
Bleeds allow 5mm outside the keyline.
Inks
Inks are similar to paint they will sit on top of the plastic. Achieving true PMS colours on some of the substrates may not be possible due to translucent and dark materials to achieve the best match to your PMS a white may have to go down first and this will be counted as 1 colour.
Excessive solid ink areas may increase cost of production, which we can advise at time of sight of final art or film.
Ink over creases and welds may rupture so please consider this when designing your artwork.
Fonts
We prefer that all fonts have been converted to outlines (curves), if you do supply the fonts please make sure all printer and screen fonts used are loaded onto the disk or attached to email, just in case we don’t have the ones used. If sending fonts please ensure they are True Type Fonts (TTF) and are PC compatible.
Avoid minimum point size font reversals.
Proofs
It is important to supply laser proofs in colour with your files so that we can relate the files to your artwork.
